***Grassroots Innovators Get National Opportunity; Entries Invited from Palghar for HBNCRIIA-India 2025-26 Awards***

Palghar, August 21: Grassroots innovators, farmers, artisans, students, entrepreneurs and holders of traditional knowledge from Palghar district now have an opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas and solutions on a national platform. Nominations and entries have been invited for the Honey Bee Network Creativity & Inclusive Innovation Awards – India 2025-26 (HBNCRIIA-India 2025-26).
The initiative is being organised by the Honey Bee Network (HBN) and the Grassroots Innovations Augmentation Network (GIAN) in partnership with the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO). Its objective is to identify and recognise useful grassroots innovations and traditional knowledge systems, provide deserving innovators with encouragement and support, and help them gain wider recognition.
Individuals and communities, including farmers, artisans, students and entrepreneurs, who have developed innovative solutions to local problems can submit their entries. The awards are particularly aimed at ideas and innovations that have emerged from practical experience, local needs and indigenous knowledge.
The top three innovations will receive cash prizes of ₹5 lakh, ₹3 lakh and ₹2 lakh, respectively. In addition, 12 Appreciation Awards of ₹50,000 each will be presented. Selected innovators may also receive Incubation Support, including expert guidance and assistance for the further development of their innovations.
Interested innovators can submit their entries until 11.55 pm on October 31, 2026. Details regarding eligibility, the application process and other guidelines are available on the official GIAN website.

Palghar district has a rich base of farmers, artisans, tribal communities, students and local innovators who often develop practical solutions to everyday challenges. Many such ideas and traditional practices remain confined to local areas without receiving wider recognition.
Innovators from across Palghar district are therefore urged to come forward and submit their unique ideas, useful inventions and valuable traditional knowledge. The HBNCRIIA-India 2025-26 Awards offer a significant opportunity to bring grassroots innovations to national attention and receive recognition, financial support and expert guidance.
