****'अंमली पदार्थांना नाही, जीवनाला हो म्हणा’
नशामुक्त भारत अभियान वर्धापन दिनानिमित्त जिल्हाधिकारी डॉ. इंदु राणी जाखड यांचे युवकांना आवाहन****
पालघर, दि. १८ ऑगस्ट २०२६ : युवकांनी व्यसनाला नकार देत निरोगी, सक्षम आणि जबाबदार जीवनशैली स्वीकारावी, असे आवाहन जिल्हाधिकारी डॉ. इंदु राणी जाखड यांनी केले. सोनोपंत दांडेकर महाविद्यालयात आयोजित अंमली पदार्थविरोधी प्रतिज्ञा कार्यक्रमात जिल्हाधिकारी डॉ. इंदु राणी जाखड यांच्या उपस्थितीत विद्यार्थी-विद्यार्थिनींनी व्यसनांपासून दूर राहण्याची प्रतिज्ञा घेतली.
“अंमली पदार्थांना नाही म्हणा आणि जीवनाला हो म्हणा,” असे आवाहन करत डॉ. जाखड यांनी अंमली पदार्थांचे सेवन व्यक्तीच्या आरोग्यासोबतच कुटुंबव्यवस्था आणि सामाजिक प्रगतीलाही बाधक ठरत असल्याचे सांगितले. युवकांनी व्यसनांपासून दूर राहून निरोगी, सक्षम आणि जबाबदार नागरिक बनावे, असेही त्यांनी स्पष्ट केले.
अंमली पदार्थांच्या वाढत्या विळख्यापासून युवा पिढीला दूर ठेवण्यासाठी पालघर जिल्ह्यात व्यापक जनजागृती मोहीम राबविण्यात येत असून, नशामुक्त भारत अभियानाच्या सहाव्या वर्धापन दिनानिमित्त जिल्ह्यातील सुमारे ३ लाख ५० हजारांहून अधिक विद्यार्थी, अधिकारी-कर्मचारी आणि नागरिकांनी अंमली पदार्थविरोधी प्रतिज्ञा घेतली. केंद्र सरकारच्या सामाजिक न्याय व अधिकारिता मंत्रालय, सामाजिक न्याय व विशेष सहाय्य विभाग, मंत्रालय मुंबई, जिल्हाधिकारी कार्यालय पालघर, जिल्हा परिषद समाजकल्याण विभाग आणि महाराष्ट्र राज्य नशाबंदी मंडळ यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने हा कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आला.
यावेळी मार्गदर्शन करताना डॉ. इंदु राणी जाखड यांनी अंमली पदार्थांच्या दुष्परिणामांबाबत युवकांमध्ये सातत्याने जनजागृती करणे आवश्यक असल्याचे सांगितले. व्यसनमुक्त जीवनशैली स्वीकारण्यासाठी युवकांना प्रोत्साहन देतानाच समाजाला व्यसनाच्या विळख्यातून बाहेर काढण्यासाठी युवकांची सकारात्मक भूमिका निर्णायक ठरू शकते, असे त्यांनी सांगितले.
नशामुक्त भारत अभियानांतर्गत पालघर जिल्ह्यात शाळा, महाविद्यालये, वसतिगृहे, महिला बचत गट, अंगणवाडी सेविका आणि समाजातील विविध घटकांच्या सहभागातून अंमली पदार्थविरोधी प्रतिज्ञा कार्यक्रम घेण्यात आल्याची माहिती जिल्हाधिकारी डॉ. इंदु राणी जाखड यांनी दिली.
अंमली पदार्थांच्या समस्येला आळा घालण्यासाठी केवळ प्रशासनाच्या प्रयत्नांवर अवलंबून न राहता प्रशासन, शैक्षणिक संस्था, सामाजिक संस्था, पालक, शिक्षक आणि युवकांनी एकत्रितपणे काम करण्याची गरज यावेळी व्यक्त करण्यात आली.
कार्यक्रमास सोनोपंत दांडेकर शिक्षण मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष सचिन कोरे व अन्य पदाधिकारी जिल्हा परिषदेचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी मनोज रानडे, महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ. किरण सावे, अतिरिक्त मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी राजेंद्र पाटील, उपमुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (सामान्य प्रशासन) इजाज अहमद शेख, जिल्हा समाजकल्याण अधिकारी डॉ. प्रकाश हसनाळकर, सहाय्यक आयुक्त समाजकल्याण पांडुरंग वाबळे, महाराष्ट्र राज्य नशाबंदी मंडळाचे जिल्हा समन्वयक मिलिंद पाटील यांच्यासह सुर्यमाला पिचड, लतिका भाकरे, मेघालिनी जाधव, श्र्वेता राऊत, अमोल पाटकर, तसेच समाजकल्याण विभागाचे अधिकारी, विद्यार्थी आणि नागरिक उपस्थित होते.
****'Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life'
District Collector Dr. Indu Rani Jakhar appeals to youth; over 3.5 lakh students, employees and citizens join anti-drug pledge campaign****
Palghar, August 18, 2026: A large-scale awareness campaign is being conducted across Palghar district to protect the younger generation from the growing menace of narcotic substances. Marking the sixth anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, more than 3.5 lakh students, government officers, employees and citizens across the district took an anti-drug pledge. District Collector Dr. Indu Rani Jakhar appealed to the youth to reject addiction and adopt a healthy, responsible and purposeful way of life.
An anti-drug pledge programme was organised at Sonopant Dandekar College, where students took a pledge in the presence of Dr. Indu Rani Jakhar to stay away from all forms of addiction. The programme was jointly organised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India; the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai; the District Collector's Office, Palghar; the Zilla Parishad Social Welfare Department; and the Maharashtra State Prohibition Board.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jakhar said that continuous awareness among young people about the harmful effects of narcotic substances is essential. While encouraging the youth to adopt an addiction-free lifestyle, she said that their positive participation could play a decisive role in helping society emerge from the grip of addiction.
“Say no to drugs and say yes to life,” Dr. Jakhar appealed, adding that the consumption of narcotic substances adversely affects not only an individual's health but also family systems and the overall progress of society. She urged young people to stay away from addiction and grow into healthy, capable and responsible citizens.
Dr. Jakhar said that under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, anti-drug pledge programmes were organised across Palghar district with the participation of schools, colleges, hostels, women's self-help groups, Anganwadi workers and various sections of society.
It was also emphasised that tackling the problem of narcotic substances cannot be left solely to the administration. The administration, educational institutions, social organisations, parents, teachers and young people need to work together to effectively curb the menace of drugs and addiction.
The programme was attended by President of Sonopant Dandekar Education Mandal Sachin Kore, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Manoj Ranade, College Principal Dr. Kiran Save, Additional Chief Executive Officer Rajendra Patil, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (General Administration) Ejaz Ahmed Sheikh, District Social Welfare Officer Dr. Prakash Hasnalkar, Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare Pandurang Wable, District Coordinator of the Maharashtra State Prohibition Board Milind Patil, along with Suryamala Pichad, Latika Bhakre, Meghalini Jadhav, Shweta Raut and Amol Patkar. Officers of the Social Welfare Department, students and citizens were also present.
